Make Your Own Hemp Mylk!

Hemp mylk is the quickest and easiest of all the non-dairy mylks you can make! Unlike the other mylks, it doesn’t require any straining or use of your nut mylk bag. You can make a delightful nutty tasting creamy mylk in just one minute with only two ingredients!

Why hemp?

Hemp is loaded with all ‘the goods’. It is a perfect plant-based source of complete protein containing all of the essential amino acids. Actually, 33% of the hemp seed IS protein! A huge amount of vital nutrients are packed into these cute little seeds and their “hearts” (the light, delicate yummy morsels of nutrients inside the hard shell of the seed) including Zinc, Vitamin E, Calcium, Iron, Potassium, Phosphorous, Magnesium, and Manganese. Together, these vitamins and minerals support:

This nutrient-dense Super Food also contains high amounts of essential fatty acids, especially alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) and gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) and linoleic acid (LA). These little treasures of essential fatty acids provide excellent support for overall brain health, boost memory function, and combat inflammation. Hemp is easily digestible, full of fiber and antioxidants making it an awesome addition to your diet!

Hemp is very versatile in its use. One of my favourite ways to incorporate hemp into my diet is through HEMP MYLK! Homemade mylks are the way to go. You get to skip all of those sketchy, questionable ingreedz in the packaged stuff and it’s super customizable to fit your desires.

Here is a basic recipe for Hemp Mylk:

1/4 Cup Organic Hemp Hearts 2 Cups Clean, filtered or Spring Water

Blend for a few moments, and there ya go! See, makin’ your own mylk has never been so easy.

Of course you can play around with the ratio – maybe sometimes you want it more thick, or more watery.

This is my basic, foundational recipe for if I’m using the mylk for Vegan Mashed Potaties or in my wild, fun, messy Vegan Baking.

Get creative with it. Add in some ceylon cinnamon, or some dates, stevia, maple syrup, vanilla extract and make yummy chia pudding or a smoothie!
